I'm still high fertility but tomorrow is CD14 and I'm starting to notice slight vaginal discharge changes so hopefully something will happen soon!
I spoke with Russ last night. They reviewed the contract on Saturday and made a few changes so now they're just waiting to get the revised contract back for review and if everything looks good, it will then be sent to me and my lawyer to review.
We spoke for a bit about how my cycle is going and what it's usually like and the potential days that we're looking at for the IUI. It looks like it will be around the first week of October. Maybe the 4th to 6th but we'll see. Russ has a cousin in Dallas so he is planning on driving or taking a bus down and staying with her for a week or so, that way he can be there for the IUI. Grant has to work and they are saving his sick days to use when the baby is born so he probably won't be there.
They are also planning on coming down December 19th or 20th for the Christmas break. We're hoping that I'll be able to schedule an appointment with my OB/GYN around the 21st so that we can all sit down together and they can meet the Dr. and everything.
Russ is feeling the anticipation that I'm feeling as well. I think he is also a little worried about the rate that things are proceeding. We have a very narrow window, a month really, before it's do or die and if we miss the window because all of the paperwork and everything isn't finished, then we have to wait until November to try again. He said that he was going to start making some phone calls in the next couple of days to their lawyer, Dr. Kaufmann's office, and Stephanie and Kristen at Simple Surrogacy to see where things are and make sure that we're on track for everything.
I'm glad to hear that he's being as proactive as possible to keep things moving along. It's like having someone in my corner because Sorrell and I are just as excited and anxious about getting things going as Grant and Russ are!
So it was nice to touch base with Russ and chat with him for a while. It's always reassuring to hear that I'm not the only one impatiently twiddling my thumbs, waiting for everything to fall into place.
