I had another doctor's appointment yesterday. Everything went great. I've gained about 4 pounds, blood pressure is perfect, and baby's heartbeat sounds perfect. My birth Doula, Kate, came along to meet Dr. Hinds.
I must say that while I'd ideally like a birth center/home birth, if I'm going have a hospital birth, I'm glad that it will be with Dr. Hinds and at CPRMC. He's so open to everything that us Hippie Birthers like. He's on board with my VBAC, okay with alternate gestational diabetes testing methods instead of the glucola, and HE was even the one who asked me if I was doing placenta encapsulation! Most doctors look at you like you have three heads when you bring that stuff up. lol
Apparently, his wife is a Hippie Birther as well and always does all natural labors so that explains a lot! :)
Anyway, next ultrasound is the big one and is scheduled for September 15th. Jonathan will be coming down for that, which I'm super excited for. I can't wait for him to see his baby now that it actually looks like a little baby!
I'm also trying to schedule a hospital tour for him that day too and Kate's going to try to meet us for lunch so that he can meet her.
I'm still feeling AMAZING. No sickness, decent appetite (mornings are a little harder to find something that sounds good but I"m that way anyway), sleeping well, and my SPD is not too bad and being well managed with weekly chiropractic visits. Overall, this pregnancy has been a breeze and I'm so glad to still be mobile since I essentially had to be a couch potato with the twins. Also, baby has been moving like crazy. I've been feeling movements since about 12.5 weeks but the last week or two is when I've been able to feel them on the outside too! They're soft still and best felt when I'm laying down but definitely there. The other day I was watching tv on the couch and my hand was resting on the side of my belly when all of a sudden it bumped. Well hello there little bean! :)
It's been smooth sailing so far and looks like it should continue to be as well! I couldn't be happier!
