I had my HSG appointment on Friday. It went much better than my last one! Last time the procedure was so uncomfortable that it made me anxious for this one. However, I took some ibuprofen beforehand this time and either that worked like a charm or the lady that performed this one was just that much better! I hardly felt it. I did still have cramps afterward but those were tolerable. The doctor said that at a preliminary glance everything looked good!
Jonathan did another sperm test too. The results were sent over to Dr. K and he advised that we move ahead with the IUI! That's good news to hear and hopefully will keep things simple. Everyone keeps telling Jonathan that it was rare that I got pregnant on the first try last time and even more rare that it was twins. While I'm really hoping it doesn't end up being twins again...I AM hoping that it works on the first try again. At the very least on the second. One, its easier and cheaper that way (and crazy me is ready to be prego again!) but also, I know Jonathan is wanting things to happen as soon as possible. Ideally we'd have a due date not too super close to Christmas, and he'd definitely like it to be this year. As he says, he isn't getting any younger! Lol.
So legal should be starting next week when Simple opens back up from the holidays. I know that Kristen had talked to Jonathan about the initial fee for that to get started and making sure there is enough in escrow to cover it and all of that. He also sent her an email basically stating that it really shouldn't take 6 weeks for contracts, the lawyer should be able to expedite it, they had told him several weeks ago when we started that our time frame of late January/early February shouldn't be a problem, and to have the lawyer call him once match sheets were sent so that he could discuss the time frame. So I think the plan is still to try to expedite things so that we can make the last week or so of January and if that just doesn't happen then so be it. We will just try for the last week of February.
In the meantime, I've been using the trusty spaceship again to monitor my cycles to keep track of my ovulation so we have a better idea of scheduling. Now I'm just waiting to hear if I need to do another psych eval again and also to get my life insurance policy set up. Then I think all that's left is contract signing. Yay!
