Today is cycle day 12. I know that ovulation will happen any day now. Since I'm usually a normal 28-30 day cycle, I'm expecting ovulation to happen sometime between today and CD16.
This morning when I woke up, I performed my now normal routine of turning on my Clear Blue monitor, peeing on the dainty little test stick and then waiting five minutes while the monitor reads the results. Still high fertility. Le sigh.
I had been so excited on CD6 when I got the high fertility reading, like I'd accomplished a great feat. Now it's almost disappointing to not see that third bar with the little egg light up or see signs of ovulation during the day. (I normally notice a light mucus discharge with an almost egg white consistency just before ovulation. TMI...I know.)
I realize that I'm being silly because it's still very early in my cycle and in a perfect 28 day cycle world, I'd ovulate on day 14 anyway. It's just the anticipation that's killing me! But, they say patience is a virtue so I must wait and know that it'll happen when it happens and until then, I'll just keep monitoring and tracking. :)
