I spoke with Doug last night and we went over everything in the contract and what it all means and how he as a lawyer interprets it.
We did end up making three changes but they are relatively small. First he's adding that both Russ and I be re-screened for communicable diseases prior to each IUI/IVF attempt, should the previous one fail. This is because there is sometimes a small delay between attempts and since some diseases have an incubation period, this could help prevent any surprises.
Also, there is a part in the contract that mentions something about if my doctor recommends terminating the pregnancy for my own health and safety, I have to get a second opinion. Another section says that my health comes before the baby if necessary so for clarification, Doug is adding something saying that a second opinion is only necessary if it's not an emergency situation and time provides for it.
Lastly, he is adding in that if I end up having a cesarean and the hospital will only allow one person in the operating room with me, Sorrell will have the first right to go in over Grant or Russ if that's what I so choose.
So Doug said he'd have the contract back to Robert today and I already emailed Grant and Russ about the changes so that they were prepared. Once they okay it again, they'll sign it, send it to me, Sorrell and I will sign it and we'll be ready to rock and roll!
I even bought some prenatal vitamins and omega-3 vitamins today when we were grocery shopping. That way I can get a jumpstart on preparing my body for baby.
