It's been a month since my last talk with they guys and I've just been (im)patiently waiting. Only a couple of more weeks before Grant has his second sperm test. I'm really starting to get anxious/nervous/excited...as if I wasn't already!
One of the biggest reasons that I decided to do surrogacy in the first place is the desire I have to bring a little happiness to others. Maybe it is a bit selfish because I get an amazing joy from doing things for others and seeing the joy that it brings them. That same mindset continues now as I've been thinking of all of the things that I want to do for Grant and Russ - outside of the obvious.
I know that they are likely nervous about the upcoming test. When they had their first test at Dr. Kauffman's and told me about it, I could hear the disappointment in their voices. He had changed some things in his day to day life in hopes that they'll see an improvement at the next appointment.
I made a funny card for them that says "Good Luck" on the outside with a circle cut out revealling a smiley face. When you open it, the smiley face is actually the head of a sperm and it reads "...to your little swimmers!" It's meant to be funny and help lighten the mood. I'm putting together a care package to go with it. I'm thinking some wine and chocolates or something.
