I don't feel that I've complained too much to others this pregnancy. Certainly not as much as I've though it in my head! But I AM MISERABLE!!
Friday I went in for my OB appointment. Not only do I have polyhydramnios on both twins (excess amniotic fluid) but I was also diagnosed with cholestasis, a liver problem in pregnancy that was causing all my itching. Lucky me. So my doctor sent me over to the hospital after my appointment to have a non-stress test (NST) performed. Well, while I was there I ended up having contractions that got stronger and more painful about 3-5 minutes apart.
Long story short, overnight I ended up getting to 3 cm dilated and 50-60% effaced and then everything kind of just stopped. Since I'm only 35 weeks, they sent me home because they won't do anything to facilitate or induce labor until at least 36 weeks. Now I'm home with legs so swollen I can barely bend them, pain and pressure in my pelvis from Ava sitting so low and just general discomfort.
Good news is that with all of the excitement yesterday, Grant and Russ came down a few days ahead of schedule to be sure they are here for the delivery. Also, I just used the restroom a little bit ago and had bloody show which I didn't have with my kids but I hear that once it starts being bloody and not just mucousy, it's a good sign you'll be in labor soon.
We shall see!! :) Hopefully it's not just wishful thinking.
