Grant and Russ called me this evening to touch base. They have decided that they want to use my eggs! Basically the game plan depends on the outcome of Grant's test this month. If his sperm is viable, then they will do IVF, remove my eggs and fertilize one with Russ's sperm and one with Grant's and hope that both take. If Grant's sperm aren't viable, then they will just use Russ's and go the IUI route. Basically, they wait until I'm ovulation and then "turkey baste" it. LOL If I don't get pregnant, they try again the following cycle.
The guys said that if IUI ends up being the route we have to go, we'll try at least a couple of rounds before resorting to IVF with Russ's sperm for cost sake. It's like, $500 a cycle for IUI and $20,000 per IVF or something like that!
So that's the gameplan with them. Oh, and they're probably going to spend Christmas with the family down here so they can see me since I'll hopefully be a couple of months pregnant by then!
I also received a life insurance policy application from Lisa, the Life Insurance Rep for Simple Surrogacy. Grant and Russ are required to take a $250,000 poilcy out on me in case anything should happen to me from the pregnancy.
So things are moving. Slowly but surely!
